Catholic Charities honors Food Pantry Volunteer

Posted on May 31, 2016

Effingham Catholic Charities honored Agnes Fuesting who retired after over 20 years of dedicated service as a volunteer in the Catholic Charities food pantry.  Twice a week, 52 weeks a year, she made a difference in the lives of children, adults, and seniors who were hungry in our communities. She saw the pantry grow from 60 families a month at its outset to over 800 families a month presently.  She not only gave them food, but she remembered them in her daily prayers.  Agnes will be missed, however, her spirit of service, dedication and care is the legacy that she leaves to all who come to Catholic Charities in need.
