Catholic Charities Mobile Food Pantry Visits Brownstown

Posted on June 30, 2016

On Saturday, June 25, Catholic Charities of Effingham and the Brownstown community partnered to serve 68 Families, totaling 200 individuals from the Brownstown and St. Elmo area for the Mobile Food Pantry Run.  Under the direction of Sister Sandra Sudkamp and in collaboration with Pastor Don Thomas, families were invited to select foods from a variety of meats, produce, canned goods, and packaged items.

There were so many helping hands that assisted the individuals who participated. Catholic Charities extends a heart-felt thanks to the many volunteers who supported the Mobile Food Pantry, the students from St. Anthony High School and the First National Bank of Brownstown for their sponsorship. Thanks also goes to the 68 families who came to participate in this Mobile Food Pantry Run.
