St. Anthony High School Day of Service

Posted on March 24, 2016

Students from St. Anthony High School in Effingham volunteered at Effingham Catholic Charities as part of St. Anthony’s Day of Service.

Greg Fearday, Principal of St. Anthony High School, stated the school is committed to educating the whole person.  They seek to accomplish this goal through the classroom but also through active involvement in the community.  Service promotes a sense of responsibility, exposes students to new skills, and provides opportunities to learn more about their friends and our community.

The students spent the day doing various tasks in the Food Pantry and Second Hand Rose Resale Shoppe.  They were also given a tour of Catholic Charities and were informed about  all services provided by Catholic Charities in the communities we serve.

Catholic Charities wishes to thank the students for including Catholic Charities as part of the St. Anthony Day of Service.
