Sister Anne Carlino, a dedicated humanitarian and longtime supporter of Catholic Charities, passed away in 2024 at the age of 88. Since 1957, Sr. Anne devoted her life to serving others locally and abroad as a member of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis.
In 1987, she began working as the Community Services Coordinator for Catholic Charities, playing a key role in expanding charitable initiatives within our diocese until 1999. In 1996, she received the First Citizen Award for helping facilitate the construction of the new St. John’s Breadline location. The building at 430 N Fifth St, completed in 1994, remains a critical asset to helping end hunger in our community to this day.
The Breadline was not the only program to benefit from her hard work.
